Dorothy Cuylear has been practicing various styles of yoga for over half a decade. After the loss of her mother in 2017, Dorothy decided to deepen her yoga practice by enrolling in the 200 hour teacher training at Bhava Yoga Studios in Albuquerque, NM . During this period of grief and loss, yoga remained the only thing that could calm her mind. In 2018, Dorothy completed her RYT200 teacher training at Bhava with Marisol Brito and Mikhayla Anderson. This training took Dorothy to a new spiritual level in her life. She was able to utilize meditation, breath regulation, and energy body practices to help her realize the divine beauty in all things; thereby, giving her the ability to cope during this difficult experience in her life. Dorothy wholeheartedly credits yoga with saving her life. By day, Dorothy is a pharmacist, musician, sister, friend, dog lover, runner, adventurer, and outdoor enthusiast. Dorothy loves playful vinyasa flows and encourages her students to laugh and have fun in her classes. As a teacher, Dorothy believes that every human being is deserving of love and connection and she hopes to offer this as a service to her students. ‘On this path effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure. Even a little effort toward spiritual awareness will protect you from the greatest fear’- Eknath Easwaran translation (The Bhagavad Gita 2:40).
