The Anusara Yoga Immersion
is a 105 hour basic and introductory course in the fundamental principles of the Anusara
philosophy, method and practice.
Deepen the understanding and experience of your yoga practice without the pressure to teach,
incorporate the Anusara method into your teaching, or
complete pre-requisites for Anusara Teacher Training.

Part 1: Intention and Studentship: Stepping
into the flow of the Practice
Practice of and inquiry into postures from Anusara's
Level 1 Syllabus, tantric philosophy, anatomy, contemplation, pranayama
and meditation. Topics include the vision and philosophy of Anusara
Yoga, Yoga’s precepts for being in community, a broad overview of Yoga’s
history, the 8 limbs of yoga, cultivating studentship, foundations in Ayurveda, the
3 A's of Anusara Yoga, and all of Anusara’s main and auxiliary principles of
alignment.
Part 2: Transformation and
Community: The Heart of Anusara Yoga
Part 2 includes a full review of Anusara’s alignment technique,
an introduction of the Level II Syllabus, and deeper exploration
into pranayama, meditation, contemplation and anatomy. Topics include:
Sanskrit basics, Schools of Yoga Philosophy, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.

Part 3: Gratitude and Blessings:
Empowering the Divine Within
In the culminating phase of the Immersion, students will deepen
and refine their practice and understanding of the Universal Principles
of Alignment with an emphasis on the more esoteric aspects
of energy flow in the body. Intermediate/advanced pranayama practices,
study of the Bhagavad Gita, landmarks for measuring the efficacy of the practice,
and subtle body anatomy will also be
explored.

The Bhava Yoga Studio Teacher Training Program explores
the art and science of teaching Ansuara® Yoga. Learn how to safely and effectively share
the gift of yoga with others, and how to guide students in connecting to the beauty of their hearts.
The 75 hour Anusara Yoga Teacher Training is offered following the 105 hour Anusara Immersion.
Together, these programs fulfill the requirements for the Yoga Alliance (200RYT) registry and are
creditable to Anusara certification.

Have you been wanting to start yoga but haven't been able to find a class
basic enough for you? The Fundamentals class will introduce you to basic
yoga postures at a pace that will allow you to build your practice with

Michael Quanci has pursued the study of yoga since 1995. He completed his first certification at Om Yoga Studio in New York
City. In 2003, after a long career in advertising, he decided to leave his hometown of New York City to study
with Dr. Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute. Since then he has made Albuquerque his home. Michael completed his
second 200 hour teacher training with Tias Little in Santa Fe and continues to study intensively with Anusara
Certified Instructors Desiree Rumbaugh and Bea Doyle. Michael believes that through the practice of yoga and
ayurveda we can achieve an inner spaciousness needed to live a happy, centered life.

Back Care Yoga with Bea Doyle
A class designed for anyone with chronic or situational back pain, or pain due to scoliosis.
Ease pressure, relieve tightness, build strength in alignment, increase flexibility and improve

Mikhayla Harrell
first discovered Yoga in a dance class in college. As one of her colleagues gracefully moved into a shoulder stand,
her curiosity was piqued and her love for the practice began. Coming from a dance background, Mikhayla found yoga to
be an incredible solution for physical limitations and ailments. Mikhayla has studied several major yoga styles
throughout the past 11 years, including Asthanga, Kripalu, Restorative and Anusara Yoga. She received her Yoga
Teacher Certification in 2002 and has been teaching joyfully ever since. She is now enthusiastically working
towards her Anusara certification. Mikhayla brings a dynamic rhythm into her classes with the intention that
movement activates holistic, alchemical growth.

Erin Hansbrough
is a Certified Anusara Yoga teacher. She began studying yoga and meditation in 1998,
and has taught yoga since 2001. She feels incredibly blessed to be part of the Anusara tradition, and the particular
expression that it takes here in Albuquerque. Dedicated to making yoga accessible and empowering for everyone,
Erin has taught classes in both English and Spanish; she also helped to create and teach SUNY Buffalo's Universal
Yoga program, which offers classes to students with physical impairments. Erin offers a heart full of gratitude to her
primary teachers, John Friend and Douglas Brooks, and to the amazing community at Bhava Yoga Studio.
